Pink Salt Interior Architecture and Design (Pink Salt) With over 30 years of experience in the design industry, we create residential and hospitality spaces based on a keen evaluation of the aesthetic priorities and spatial needs of each client. The wealth of our construction detailing knowledge and lighting design expertise combined with this client-driven approach results in environments that celebrate and enhance their personality and brand.

Who We Are

Dottie Northup is the Design Director and a partner of  Pink Salt. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), she has over three decades of experience in residential, commercial and hospitality design. Dottie has worked on a wide range of geographically-diverse residences:  a home on the Gulf in Boca Grande, FL, a courtyard apartment in Paris, a mid-century modern home built by an architect who studied under Mies Van der Rohe. Her hospitality projects include renovations at the Forsyth Country Club, interiors of the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas and several Mellow Mushroom restaurants. She has worked in a variety of design vernaculars and has a unique ability to connect with each client for a rich understanding of their vision, all the while making the process fun and exciting. Dottie is CIDQ-certified.

Gayle Marget is a partner of Pink Salt and in charge of procurement. She and Dottie have worked together for 25 years and have a common dedication to creating beautiful, client-based, innovative interiors. Gayle guarantees that clients receive the attention needed to ensure a successful, stress-free experience. Her strong relationships with innumerable vendors translates into efficient, timely delivery. And her warm, funny personality ensures an enjoyable, personalized experience for each client.

Jane Barea  With over 30 years of experience as a senior interior designer, she brings her strong organizational skills and design talent to support them in their mission to provide a high level of service to our clients.
